Can I reopen a collection account I've closed?

Whether a closed Tazapay collection account can be reopened, and what to do if you need it back.

Not always. Once a collection account is closed, which the dashboard calls disabling it, it can only be reopened if it explicitly supports re-enablement. Not every account does.

Before you close an account

A closed account stops accepting incoming payments straight away. If there is any chance you will need it again, contact support@tazapay.com first to check whether your specific account would support being reopened. It is a quick check, and it saves you having to request a brand new account later.

How closing works in the dashboard

1. Log in to the Tazapay dashboard at dashboard.tazapay.com.
2. Click Collection Accounts in the left sidebar.
3. Open the Virtual Accounts or Wallets tab, depending on the type of account.
4. Click the account you want to close to open its details.
5. Click Disable Account.
6. Confirm in the dialog that appears. The status changes to disabled once it has processed.

You can also disable an account through the API, which is in beta, or ask the Tazapay support team to do it for you.

If you have already closed an account and need it back

Email support@tazapay.com with the account details and your registered email address. They can confirm whether that account supports re-enablement and, if it does, help you reopen it. If it does not, they can help you request a replacement.
