# Why is my stablecoins transaction on compliance hold, and what should I do?

## Why a stablecoin transaction on Tazapay can go on compliance hold and how to help clear it.

A compliance hold means our team is actively reviewing the transaction before it can be processed. This is a normal part of our compliance process and does not necessarily indicate a problem with your account or transaction.

Common reasons a transaction may be placed on compliance hold include:

- The transaction involves a wallet address that has not yet been whitelisted or requires re-verification.
- Additional documentation (e.g., an invoice) is required to complete the review.
- The transaction involves an entity that has not yet been fully approved.
- Elevated or new risk signals have been identified on a wallet, even if it was previously whitelisted.
- The transaction was flagged by an automated compliance rule pending manual review.

Here is what you should do if your transaction is on compliance hold:

1. **Contact support:** Reach out to **@TazapaySupport** and provide your transaction ID (payout ID or collect ID) so our compliance team can look into it.
2. **Respond to any RFI (Request for Information):** If our team has sent you a Request for Information — either via email or through a Jira ticket — please respond promptly with the requested documents or details. Make sure to check the correct email address on file for RFI communications.
3. **Wallet verification:** If the hold is related to an unverified or new wallet address, you may be asked to complete a wallet ownership verification (e.g., a Satoshi test or wallet verification video). Once verified, the wallet will be whitelisted and the transaction released.
4. **Allow time for review:** Our standard SLA for compliance reviews is **4 hours**. Please allow this time before escalating. If the 4-hour SLA has been breached without a resolution or update, feel free to follow up with the support team.

**Please note:** Even if a wallet has been previously whitelisted, new or elevated risk signals identified at the time of a transaction may require an additional review before the transaction can be released. This is part of our ongoing compliance obligations.

Once the review is complete, our team will notify you and the transaction will be released or, if necessary, declined with guidance on next steps (such as re-initiating the transaction with correct details).
