How do I request merchant whitelisting with Tazapay?
When you need to be whitelisted with Tazapay and how to request it.
To request merchant whitelisting with a banking or acquiring partner, follow these steps:
- Prepare the required documentation. Before submitting a whitelisting request, ensure you have the following ready:
- Merchant business name
- Merchant website URL
- KYB (Know Your Business) documents, including Certificate of Incorporation/Registration, proof of address, and identity documents for UBOs (Ultimate Beneficial Owners) holding 25% or more ownership
- Business bank statements (in non-editable PDF or JPEG format — Excel files are generally not accepted)
- A signed agreement or license, if applicable
- For financial services merchants: current business permits and regulatory documentation
- For travel merchants: IATA license or partnership agreements with airlines/GDS providers, recent audited financial statements, and processing history if available
- Submit the whitelisting request. Send an email to the relevant banking partner's support address with the merchant details and all attached KYB documents. Include the following information in your request:
- Merchant name
- Merchant website
- Nature of business
- Transaction volumes (average, maximum, and expected annual)
- Await confirmation and respond to any queries. The banking partner will review the submission and may request additional information, such as:
- Updated or more recent business documents (e.g., company registry extracts dated within the last year)
- Clarification on UBO identity or shareholding structure
- Chargeback and refund rate history
- Additional financial documentation
- Receive whitelisting confirmation. Once approved, the banking partner will confirm that the sub-merchant has been successfully whitelisted and provide the assigned account details, including:
- VCA Alias (to be used for QRPH transactions)
- Account number
- Store label / trade name
- Risk classification and MCC category
- Resume transactions. After whitelisting is confirmed, the merchant may proceed with transactions. Ensure the assigned VCA Alias is used for all corresponding QRPH transactions, and use the trade name as the Store Label value.
Note: If a merchant has previously been whitelisted under a different email thread or ticket, the banking partner may reference the existing record rather than creating a new one. If you are submitting a request for a high-risk merchant, an additional account number assignment may be required — this should be requested separately after the initial whitelisting is confirmed.
