Can I also pay out on behalf of my customers?

How Payouts on Behalf Of (POBO) complements COBO for sending funds to your customers.

Yes. Alongside Collections on Behalf Of, covered in this section, Tazapay also supports Payouts on Behalf Of (POBO) for platforms and fintechs that need to send funds to their customers, not just receive them.

How is POBO different from COBO?

COBO is about receiving money for your customer, using a virtual account or stablecoin wallet. POBO is about sending money to your customer or their counterparty, using a beneficiary and a payout.

High-level flow for POBO

1. Create an Entity for your customer. This is the same entity type used for COBO, and it must be in submitted status.
2. Create a Beneficiary representing who should receive the funds. This can be a bank account, a mobile wallet, a local network or proxy, a stablecoin wallet, or another Tazapay account.
3. Create a Payout using the entity and beneficiary together. Make the request idempotent so a retry does not send twice.
4. Handle payout events through webhooks rather than polling, the same way you would for collection events.

If you already run COBO, the entities you created for collections are reused for payouts, so you do not onboard your customers twice.

Since POBO is a payouts capability rather than a collections one, the detailed setup steps live in the Payouts section of this support site rather than here.
